Directions and arrival instructions for the
George W. Bush Institute
ARRIVAL:
If driving - Exit US-75 at SMU Boulevard and turn west onto SMU Boulevard. Located immediately to the left is the George W. Bush Presidential Center.
If using Uber/Taxi - The drop off is in front of the George W. Bush Institute on the east side of Bush Avenue at Binkley Avenue.
**Please note the physical address of the Bush Institute is 6100 Bush Avenue and should not be confused with the Library and Museum entrance on SMU Boulevard. No mail is received at the Bush Avenue address.
PARKING: Visitor parking is available on a first come first served basis in the Bush Center parking lot located on the northeast corner of SMU Boulevard and Bush Avenue. Enter the lot from Bush Avenue. Take a ticket to enter the visitor parking lot and bring the parking ticket with you for validation. Additonal parking for a small fee is available on SMU campus highlighted in blue. We are unable to validate parking tickets for SMU parking.

WALKING IN: You should allow ten minutes to walk from visitor parking to the Institute entrance on Bush Avenue. Before crossing SMU Boulevard, press the crosswalk button to illuminate safety lights. Do not enter through the main Library and Museum entrance on SMU Boulevard. Walk west on SMU Boulevard to Bush Avenue. Continue walking south on Bush Avenue to the main entrance of the Bush Institute.
CHECKING IN: Please check in at the visitor kiosk when arriving in the lobby of the Institute. Security requires a valid photo ID for entry into the Institute. Airport-style security screenings will be required. Items not permitted include food and beverages, flammable objects, and weapons.
