Speaker Bios:

Since 2001, Rocky Kelley has worked in the fire industry, initially installing fire alarm systems for 6+ years. He obtained a Fire Alarm Technician License through the Texas State Fire Marshal's Office and NICET Level I in Fire Alarm Systems.

Rocky’s work ethic and attention to detail were recognized by a local Fire Marshal, who later recruited him to join the fire department. Since 2008, he serves as a certified Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, Firefighter, Paramedic, and Driver/Operator. Some of his responsibilities with the fire department have included inspection of new construction buildings, code compliance in existing buildings, plan review of fire protection and life safety systems, pre-fire planning for emergency response, and responding to all emergency types within the city he serves. 

Rocky is proud to bring this experience to his role at Firetrol, where he can offer a truly unique level of insight and service to his clients. 



Jeremy Shkapich is a Jurisdictional Relations | Code Consultant at Honeywell with extensive experience in fire and building codes. As a former Fire AHJ, he has worked closely with enforcement agencies, design professionals, and manufacturers to ensure compliance with critical life safety systems.

Jeremy provides expert guidance on code requirements, enforcement challenges, and best practices. He holds ICC certifications as a Certified Fire Marshal and Certified Building Official, further reinforcing his code enforcement and compliance expertise. His background in regulatory oversight and industry collaboration makes him a trusted resource for jurisdictions and professionals navigating ERCES compliance.
