09.16.25 September Member Luncheon
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
In recognition of National Emergency Preparedness Month, this luncheon will be focused on public safety, featuring speakers from the Dallas Police Department (DPD) and the Dallas Fusion Center. The discussion will cover a range of critical topics, including emergency preparedness, managing homelessness around properties, workplace safety training, and how Property Managers can effectively respond during a crisis.
- Police Officer Sahaj Shah has been with the Dallas Police Department for almost 8 years. He spent the first five years working Southeast Patrol (South Dallas) and the rest of the time with the Neighborhood Police Officer unit. He is a NPO for Uptown Dallas (The only NPO!!!) with the main role of cultivating community partnerships with the businesses, apartments, and schools in Uptown. Toward this end, he conducts active shooter seminars, threat assessment seminars, and works closely with the schools in Uptown to ensure the community is taken care of from a non-traditional approach to policing. Outside of police work, Officer Shah is a car enthusiast (Ford/Shelby Collector) and enjoys spending time with his senior citizen labrador rescue who is 11!
The luncheon will also spotlight the work of the Dallas Fusion Center—an intelligence unit within DPD that collects and shares information related to criminal activity, organized crime, and public safety threats. Working in close partnership with local, state, and federal agencies, the Fusion Center delivers real-time, actionable intelligence to officers in the field to support faster, more informed decision-making.
This event offers BOMA Members a valuable opportunity to learn more about the public safety resources available through local law enforcement and gain practical tools to strengthen preparedness and response efforts at their properties.
This event was organized by the Executive Committee.
