Renee Ferguson is a certified Woman Owned Business and, as owner of JUNK KING, has been “trash talking” in Dallas and North Texas for over 11 years.  She prides herself as being a solutions company for clients and her greatest satisfaction is helping others succeed and solve their problems whether they are cleaning out their office or home.

Before JUNK KING, Renee wrote a nationally recognized cookbook and appeared on the Food Network in a “Throwdown!” episode with Chef Bobby Flay.  She and her cookbook, “Talk Turkey to Me:  A Good Time in the Kitchen Talking Turkey and All the Trimmings” appeared on national broadcasts for both TV and Radio, Southern Living and Victoria magazines, and a multitude of newspapers throughout the country.  While obtaining the moniker “Queen of all things Thanksgiving” by Bobby Flay, she is now better known as the Queen of JUNK KING!

The mother of 3 grown children, and now grandmother to 4 small grandchildren, she transitioned into the junk business at age 59.  “I like the business model and that we are a green company trying to make a positive impact on the environment and people’s lives,” she says.  JUNK KING’s teams provide the labor and do all the work so that the customer only has to point to what they want removed and JUNK KING does all the lifting, loading and hauling away.  In keeping an eye to the environment, JUNK KING recycles, and or donates over 60% of everything they collect.

We’re a family run business and are proud to have our son, Dallas, grow into the business and become our General Manager.  Dallas, who was born in Madison, Wisconsin, loves the irony of being known as Dallas from Dallas to the customers he meets.  When asked, Renee says she just loved the name Dallas whether she had a boy or girl.  Husband, Johann agreed, and the rest became history!
